Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

At Earl Buxton School we believe that educating our students is a collective responsibility, shared by students and their families, school staff and the entire community.  Through a collaborative approach in working together with you as partners, we will maximize the potential of all students. We are committed to providing a positive learning environment that will foster and support high academic and behavioural expectations, capitalizing on the value of strong relationships.

We are committed to demonstrating the division's cornerstone values of equity, integrity, collaboration and accountability in the service we provide to our community. Our focus continues to be on investing in relationships and a common vision, mission and values that builds congruence, clarity and cohesion in our classrooms, school and community. We are excited to share that the Division has a new strategic plan that makes up our Vision, Mission, Values, Priorities and Goals for the next four years. This strategic plan provides us the opportunity to guide our work at Earl Buxton and how we meet our school plans, strategies and budget. We remain committed to fostering growth and success for every student and are excited to work with students and their families toward achieving our goals over the next four years.  We recognize collaborating with our families will be essential in helping us advance action toward anti-racism and reconciliation.

As a school, we use SchoolZone as our primary mode of communication and we encourage our parents to check SchoolZone daily to receive timely information.

I look forward to working with each one of you, and together we will soar to ensure that all of our students learn at high levels as responsible, productive and engaged citizens within the global community.

Yours in Partnership,

Letitia Carter

Welcome

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

Earl Buxton School is located in southwest Edmonton in the Riverbend area. The school primarily serves children from the Rhatigan Ridge, River Ridge and Falconer Heights neighborhoods.

Our student population is organized into two morning and one afternoon Kindergarten classes and eighteen classes of students from Grades 1-6, for the 2023-2024 school year.

The School Council plays a very active role in supporting the school. The rate of volunteerism by parents is extremely high.
