FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - Thursday, August 29th!

    REGISTRATION - 2024-2025

For the 2024-2025 school year, Earl Buxton School is full in planned classes in Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will now only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

Principal's Message

Since 1991, Earl Buxton School has developed a tradition of excellence that fosters intellectual, emotional, and physical growth by providing engaging, meaningful learning opportunities. As your new principal, I feel honoured to be joining a school community that promotes a culture of academic achievement in a positive, nurturing environment.

Our staff supports all learners through a collaborative approach that both enhances learning opportunities and enables our students to feel connected, included, and able to achieve their potential.  We are committed to embracing Edmonton Public Schools’ cornerstone values of accountability, collaboration, equity, and integrity.  We believe in fostering a culture of respect and encourage our students to take responsibility for their learning and conduct to promote good citizenship and positive relationships.

At Earl Buxton, we believe in building a strong sense of community through creating open communication and by providing a warm, welcoming environment.  We value the relationships we develop with our learning community and encourage active participation and meaningful partnerships that can contribute to the well-being and growth of our students.

Throughout the year, regular updates and essential information will be provided through SchoolZone.  Please feel free to email, call, or visit if you have any questions or feedback.

Sincerely,

Stephen Fay

Welcome

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

Earl Buxton School is located in southwest Edmonton in the Riverbend area. The school primarily serves children from the Rhatigan Ridge, River Ridge and Falconer Heights neighborhoods.

Our student population is organized into two morning and one afternoon Kindergarten classes and eighteen classes of students from Grades 1-6, for the 2024-2025 school year.

The School Council plays a very active role in supporting the school. The rate of volunteerism by parents is extremely high.
