Welcome

Earl Buxton School is located in southwest Edmonton in the Riverbend area. The school primarily serves children from the Rhatigan Ridge, River Ridge and Falconer Heights neighborhoods.

The school will accommodate 531 students, organized into two morning and one afternoon classes of Kindergarten and nineteen classes of students from Grades 1-6 for the 2019-2020 school year.

The School Council plays a very active role in supporting the school. The rate of volunteerism by parents is extremely high.

Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. My name is Letitia Carter and as your new principal, I am honoured to join the students, staff, parents and community of Earl Buxton School.

The long-standing tradition of excellence at Earl Buxton is well documented.  At Earl Buxton School we believe that educating our students is a collective responsibility, shared by students and their families, school staff and the entire community. Through a collaborative approach in working together with you as partners, we will maximize the potential of all students. We are committed to providing a positive learning environment that will foster and support high academic and behavioural expectations, capitalizing on the value of strong relationships.

As a school, we use SchoolZone as our primary mode of communication and we encourage our parents to check SchoolZone daily to receive timely information.

I look forward to meeting each one of you, and together we will soar to ensure that all of our students learn at high levels as responsible, productive and engaged citizens within the global community.

Yours in Partnership

Letitia Carter
