Kindergarten Registration

  • Registrations for kindergarten will be accepted starting February 1, 2017 for children who will be five years old on or before March 1, 2018.
  • We offer two morning classes and one afternoon class, Monday through Friday.
  • If you are out of boundary but already have a student in Earl Buxton, you are automatically accepted.
  • Students in our attendance area are accepted first.  If there is space, we may be able to enroll a student from outside the boundary.  If we have more applications than we are able to accept, we may have to conduct a random selection for students who reside outside of our boundary. If this happens, we will contact you after the pre-enrolment deadline (April 18th) to let you know if your child has been accepted into our school. If you are not selected, you can pick up your registration package from us so that you can enroll at your designated school or any other school with available space.
  • Effective April 19, 2017,  Kindergarten is now full to all applicants other than those students newly moved into the attendance area after April 18.
  • Registration forms are available in the school office or online at epsb.ca.
  • Please bring your child’s Alberta birth certificate or Canadian passport or Residency documentation so we can make a copy of it at the school.
  • Please bring a proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, etc.) to the school.
  • If your child was not immunized in Edmonton, please bring their records.
  • A kindergarten fee is required each year (in mid-September).
  • Kindergarten Orientation Meeting:  April 20, 2017, 7:00 pm  (This is a parents only meeting.  Parents will learn "What to do to get ready for kindergarten".)

PRE-ENROLMENT - Select Your 2017-2018 School in SchoolZone
Each spring, parents across the District pre-enrol to select the school they would like their child to attend for next year. Pre-enrolment helps schools and families plan for 2017-2018.

We’re making the process faster and easier by doing it online!
Between March 13 and April 18, sign in to your parent SchoolZone account to select your child’s preferred school.

Need help?   If you can’t connect to SchoolZone to pre-enrol, or you have questions about choosing a school, talk to your current school principal. Learn more about programming options, choosing a school and visiting a school open house at openhouse.epsb.ca.
